BARNBARROCH

Barnbarroch is a sheltered, little community.   Two pubs, two tearooms, a yacht club and a pottery shop are all within walking distance.  A characterful, wee golf course is just across the road.  There are many more in the area.   Dalbeattie and its facilities such as the modern School, clinic and outdoor centre are three miles northward.  In the other direction, lie the delights of the Solway Firth.  The coast road winds past woods, cliffs, beaches, nature reserves and historic landmarks before culminating in Dumfries.
